I’m trying to keep up with the Wednesday posts–even though this is such a busy time of year. Since eating well can be hard with all of the parties, I am focusing on exercise and building up my fitness level again.
This week I’ve made it to the gym 4x and went for a run/walk in the neighborhood once. I’m averaging 45 minutes to an hour of cardio each time and can feel myself getting stronger….which is not to say that I don’t feel every sore muscle and aching bone in my body. The older I get the harder it is to start again! Which is why I’ve decided that if it kills me, I am not breaking my routine EVER.
I am planning to reduce my hours at work drastically after the holidays to spend more time with my family and to allow some “me time”. The hardest part of getting to the gym is knowing that I need to race home and make dinner and spend time with my guys. I’d rather be with them playing some music and dancing around the kitchen any day!
Can’t give you a weight this week–my scale battery is dead. But I can tell you that I’m in a pair of slacks that are not normally comfy.
