I received a job offer over the weekend to work as an Early Childhood Intervention Dietitian–part time, likely less than 10 hours per week.  I am going for an interview tomorrow and am very excited about the prospect of actually helping families and children again.

I will still spend a few hours per month conducting state reviews for the area school districts, but my real reward has always been from person to person interaction.  I enjoy knowing that I help school meals meet nutrition guidelines–but I feel removed from the results.

I feel a bit unprepared, though. It’s been a while since I have done clinical work and I will need to polish up on my skills! Still–how fun to see babies and help parents feed their little ones 🙂

I will let you know how it goes and if I get/take the job.
