Jeremy’s family is here this week. We’ve enjoyed the sounds of Morgan’s laughter as Grandpa patiently sits in his room and reads stories and applauds the little guy jumping on his bed and showing off his toys. We’ve thrilled to Leighton’s giggles in her exersaucer while she masters each little board filled with lights and sounds.
The house is a jumble of toys and Thanksgiving crafts–including a spectacular indian brave costume made for Morgan’s preschool feast by his teacher Miss Lola. My heart nearly burst when we picked him up on Friday and he trooped proudly to the car in a little white pillow case with wolves and suns painted on and one sweet foam indian bracelet decorated with jewels. A headband with two brightly colored feathers and a painted noodle necklace completed the stunning ensemble. Lord but I wish I’d had my camera. His little green sneakers were barely touching the pavement he was so excited!
Nana Ellen and I took Morgan to play at our favorite indoor play space that afternoon and Morgan was so excited to find that they had added a large airplane to the room. He seated us each on a wing and piloted the plane with full sound effects…including a crash. EESH!
We took our littles to the zoo yesterday in the new double stroller and enjoyed cool weather and happy dispositions ALL DAY. My kids are awesome.
Today, we are planning to have an early Thanksgiving with Nana and Grandpa…football, turkey, stuffing, and family. Good times!
