Right now, the kiddo hates having his photo taken. We just spent a beautiful week on the beach and I have more photos just like these…than any that show him smiling, laughing, and having a great time 🙂
Busy week! I keep forgetting Christmas is just days away 🙂 We’re keeping things super simple this year…small stuff for Morgan and each other. We’re not traveling for the holiday– shuffling presents and kiddos through holiday airports is a real drag.
Christmas day, I’m planning to do some sort of simple family breakfast, appetizers for lunch (Jeremy’s fave) and a small family dinner.
On the menu so far!
Breakfast: Possibly grits with chicken apple sausage…not sure yet. Jeremy doesn’t do eggs which throws a wrench into most breakfast ideas.
Appetizers: Cream of Sweet Potato Soup, Dried Cherries-Pecans-&Rosemary Brie en Croute, and “Devils on Horseback” which are these stuffed dates with blue cheese that are wrapped in BACON. I’ll add some crusty bread and a salad to round it out.
Dinner: Roast turkey with Wild Mushroom Gravy, Mashed Potatoes (with cream…what the hell…it IS the holidays) fresh cranberry relish, green beans with shallots, cider vinegar…and what else? Bacon.
Any ideas for dessert? cooking for 3 people needs to be simple…but still special.
